4th Tuesday of each month,
7:00-9:30 PM
Have you ever felt marooned on an island feeling like no one
understands you and/or your
ADHD, ODD, RAD, FASD, depressed, PTSD, or
behavior problem child?
Is your child adopted or a foster child?
Are they
grieving a loss?
How about your struggling learner or child with perceptual
problems?
Do you ‘know’ things aren’t ‘just right’ with your child but don’t
know what?
WE DO!
Our goal is to
educate and teach parents, teachers and others working with these children as to
the complexity raising them. Traditional parenting skills fail, ‘talk’ therapy
fail and the schools are failing them, but why? Come share your experiences
with others walking
IN YOUR SHOES!
Knowledgeable
speakers as well as other successful resources will be featured. Parenting tips
and learning tips will be shared. Discussion topics will cover the psychology of
adoption, attachment disorder, digestion and elimination problems, sleep issues,
respite, successful consequences, social/behavior and feelings of anger,
grief/loss and betrayal (YOURS and your child’s), and how to praise a child who
thinks he/she is unworthy.
Come enjoy
yummy
refreshments and chance to win a door prize!
